About Steve

Steve Levine founded AcneAdvocate and publishes it. He builds consumer research sites that turn primary sources – dermatology literature, FDA notices and manufacturer labelling – into plain-language guides, and he writes most of what appears here. He is a publisher and researcher rather than a dermatologist, and the guides say so wherever a decision belongs with a clinician.
