However, persistent changes in your face shape, severe acne that doesn’t respond to treatment, or significant facial swelling may indicate serious medical issues like Cushing’s syndrome, which involves abnormally high cortisol production. These conditions require medical evaluation.

Managing stress becomes essential for skin health. Whether through lifestyle changes, better sleep, exercise, or stress-reduction techniques, bringing cortisol levels back to normal can help your skin recover.
